It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once two men came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); both of them had the same need. When one of them began to speak, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) noticed an unpleasant odor from his mouth. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Do you not use the miswak?" He replied: "I do, but I have not had anything to eat for three days (and that is why there is an odor from my mouth)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered a man who provided him with shelter, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fulfilled his need.
