Hadith 24078

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُهُ مِنَ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يَقْطَعُ فِي رُبُعِ الدِّينَارِ فَصَاعِدًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would cut off the hand of a thief for stealing a quarter dinar or more.
