Hadith 24070

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً يُوتِرُ مِنْهَا بِوَاحِدَةٍ ، فَإِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ ، اضْطَجَعَ عَلَى شِقِّهِ الْأَيْمَنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer eleven rak'ahs after the 'Isha prayer at night, and would offer one rak'ah of Witr, and after completing the prayer, he would lie down on his right side.
