ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2407

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ حَدَّثَهُ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ظِلِّ حُجْرَةٍ مِنْ حُجَرِهِ ، وَعِنْدَهُ نَفَرٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ، قَدْ كَادَ يَقْلِصُ عَنْهُمْ الظِّلُّ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ : " إِنَّهُ سَيَأْتِيكُمْ إِنْسَانٌ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْكُمْ بِعَيْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ ، فَإِذَا أَتَاكُمْ ، فَلَا تُكَلِّمُوهُ " , قَالَ : فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ أَزْرَقُ ، فَدَعَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَكَلَّمَهُ ، قَالَ : عَلَامَ تَشْتُمُنِي أَنْتَ ، وَفُلَانٌ ، وَفُلَانٌ ؟ نَفَرٌ دَعَاهُمْ بِأَسْمَائِهِمْ ، قَالَ : فَذَهَبَ الرَّجُلُ فَدَعَاهُمْ ، فَحَلَفُوا بِاللَّهِ ، وَاعْتَذَرُوا إِلَيْهِ ، قَالَ : فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : يَحْلِفُونَ لَهُ كَمَا يَحْلِفُونَ لَكُمْ وَيَحْسَبُونَ سورة المجادلة آية 18 .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting in the shade of one of his chambers, and some Muslims were also present there. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man will come to you who sees with the eye of Satan. When he comes to you, do not speak to him." After a short while, a man with a bluish complexion came and said, "O Muhammad! (peace and blessings be upon him) Why did you speak ill of me?" and he began to swear an oath about it. Regarding this dispute, this verse was revealed: «﴿فَيَحْلِفُونَ لَهُ كَمَا يَحْلِفُونَ لَكُمْ وَيَحْسَبُونَ﴾ [المجادلة : 18]» "They swear to a lie and they do not even realize."
