It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once there was a solar eclipse, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to pray and stood for a long time, then he bowed and made a long bowing, then before going into prostration he raised his head and stood for a long time, but this standing was shorter than the first one, then he bowed and this bowing was shorter than the previous long bowing, then he prostrated, then stood up for the second rak'ah and did the same as he had done in the first rak'ah, but in this rak'ah the first standing was longer than the second, and the first bowing was longer than the second, in this way the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) completed the prayer while the solar eclipse had ended.
