It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that we were in the state of Ihram with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and riders would pass by us. When they came near us, we would lower our shawls from our heads and let them hang over our faces, and when they had passed, we would remove them.
