Hadith 24013

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت : " لَمَّا نَزَلَ عُذْرِي مِنَ السَّمَاءِ ، جَاءَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرَنِي بِذَلِكَ ، فَقُلْتُ : نَحْمَدُ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا نَحْمَدُكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the command of my exoneration was revealed from the sky, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me and informed me of it. So I said, "We praise Allah Almighty; we do not thank you."
