Hadith of ‘Abdullah bin Ka‘b bin Malik from his uncle
Musnad Ahmad — Hadith 24009/66
حدثنا عبدُ الرَّزَّاق ، عن مَعْمَر ، قال : قال الزُّهري : فأخبرَني ابنُ كعب بن مالك ، عن عمَّه ، أَن النبي صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَّيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حين بَعَثَ إَلى ابن أَبي الحُقَيق بخَيبرَ ، " نَهَى عن قتل النَّساء والصِّبْيان " .
Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, from Ma'mar, he said: al-Zuhri said: Ibn Ka'b ibn Malik informed me, from his uncle, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when he sent [an expedition] to Ibn Abi al-Huqayq at Khaybar, "forbade the killing of women and children."
