حَدِيثُ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُHadith of Awf ibn Malik al-Ashja'i al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 24008

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ النَّهَّاسِ ، عَنْ شَدَّادٍ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَا وَامْرَأَةٌ سَفْعَاءُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ كَهَاتَيْنِ ، امْرَأَةٌ آمَتْ مِنْ زَوْجِهَا ، فَحَبَسَتْ نَفْسَهَا عَلَى يَتَامَاهَا حَتَّى بَانُوا أَوْ مَاتُوا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Awf bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: That woman who possessed status and beauty, became widowed from her husband, and devoted herself to her orphaned children until they separated from her or died—on the Day of Resurrection, I and that woman with dark cheeks will be like these two fingers. Saying this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) joined his index and middle fingers together.
