حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا النَّهَّاسُ ، عَنْ شَدَّادٍ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ مُسْلِمٍ يَكُونُ لَهُ ثَلَاثُ بَنَاتٍ ، فَأَنْفَقَ عَلَيْهِنَّ حَتَّى يَبِنَّ أَوْ يَمُتْنَ ، إِلَّا كُنَّ لَهُ حِجَابًا مِنَ النَّارِ " ، فَقَالَتْ امْرَأَةٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَوْ اثْنَتَانِ ؟ قَالَ : " أَوْ اثْنَتَانِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Awf bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever has three or two daughters or sisters, and he fears Allah regarding them and treats them well until they are married or they pass away, then they will become a barrier for him from the fire of Hell.
