ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2399

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَقَامَ بِمَكَّةَ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً ، ثَمَانِ سِنِينَ أَوْ سَبْعًا يَرَى الضَّوْءَ وَيَسْمَعُ الصَّوْتَ ، وَثَمَانِيًا أَوْ سَبْعًا يُوحَى إِلَيْهِ ، وَأَقَامَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْرًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) resided in Makkah Mukarramah for fifteen years: seven or eight years in such a way that he would see light and hear voices, and seven or eight years in such a way that revelation would descend upon him, and he resided in Madinah Munawwarah for ten years.
