حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ جَابِرٍ ، عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَنْ يَجْمَعَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَى هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ سَيْفَيْنِ سَيْفًا مِنْهَا ، وَسَيْفًا مِنْ عَدُوِّهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Allah Almighty will never combine two swords upon this Ummah—one belonging to this Ummah itself and the other belonging to its enemy.
