حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " َأُتِيَ بِكَتِفِ شَاةٍ فَأَكَلَهَا ، ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَلَمْ يَمَسَّ قَطْرَةَ مَاءٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we slaughtered a goat for the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed us, so we presented a small portion of it to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate from it and then stood up to perform prayer, and in between, he did not perform fresh ablution.
