It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite, along with Surah Al-Fatihah, the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah in the first rak'ah of the Sunnah of Fajr, and in the second rak'ah, along with Surah Al-Fatihah, he would recite this verse from Surah Aal-e-Imran: « ﴿قُلْيَاأَهْلَالْكِتَابِتَعَالَوْاإِلَىكَلِمَةٍسَوَاءٍبَيْنَنَاوَبَيْنَكُمْ . . . . .﴾ [آل عمران : 64]» until he completed the verse.
