Harun ibn Ma'ruf narrated to us, Ibn Wahb narrated to us, Amr ibn al-Harith narrated to us, from Sa'id ibn Abi Hilal, that Yahya ibn Abd al-Rahman narrated to him, from Awn ibn Abd Allah, from Yusuf ibn Abd Allah ibn Salam, from his father, who said: While we were traveling with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, he heard the people as they were saying: "Which deeds are best, O Messenger of Allah?" The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Faith in Allah and His Messenger, striving in the way of Allah, and an accepted Hajj." Then he heard a call in the valley, saying: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "And I bear witness, and I bear witness that no one bears witness to it except that he is free from shirk (associating partners with Allah)." Abd Allah said: And I heard it myself from Harun. .
