حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَسُرَيْجٌ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " إِنَّ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ سَاعَةً " ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، قُلْتُ : وَاللَّهِ لَوْ جِئْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ فَسَأَلْتُهُ ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، ثُمَّ خَرَجْتُ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ ، فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ ، فَسَأَلْتُ عَنْهَا ، فَقَالَ : خَلَقَ اللَّهُ آدَمَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، وَأُهْبِطَ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، وَقَبَضَهُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، وَفِيهِ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ ، فَهِيَ آخِرُ سَاعَةٍ ، وَقَالَ سُرَيْجٌ : فَهِيَ آخِرُ سَاعَتِهِ ، فَقُلْتُ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " فِي صَلَاةٍ " وَلَيْسَتْ بِسَاعَةِ صَلَاةٍ ! قَالَ : أَوَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مُنْتَظِرُ الصَّلَاةِ فِي صَلَاةٍ ؟ " ، قُلْتُ : بَلَى ، قال : هِيَ وَاللَّهِ هِيَ.
Abu Salamah says that Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to narrate to us this hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that there comes an hour on Friday... Then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith and said: I thought, by Allah, if I ever get the chance to be in the presence of Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), I will definitely ask him this question. So I left from there and went to Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked him about it. He said: Allah Almighty created Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) on Friday, on this day he was sent down to the earth, on this day his soul was taken, and on this day the Day of Judgment will be established. Therefore, this is the last hour. I said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that this hour is during the time of prayer, and after Asr there is no time for prayer? He said: Do you not know that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that the one who waits for the prayer is considered to be in prayer? I said: Why not, by Allah, that is it.
