Hadith 23731

حَدَّثَنَا شُجَاعُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : ذَكَرَهُ قَابُوسُ بْنُ أَبِي ظَبْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : يَا سَلْمَانُ ، " لَا تُبْغِضْنِي فَتُفَارِقَ دِينَكَ " ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَكَيْفَ أُبْغِضُكَ وَبِكَ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ ؟ ! قَالَ : " تُبْغِضُ الْعَرَبَ فَتُبْغِضُنِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Salman Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: O Salman! Do not bear hatred against me, otherwise you will separate from your religion. I said: O Messenger of Allah! How can I bear hatred against you when Allah has granted us guidance through you? The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: If you hate the Arabs, you will be among those who hate me.
