Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from 'Uthman, a man in the gathering of Abu 'Uthman narrated to us, he said: Sa'd, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, narrated to me that they were commanded to fast for a day, and a man came during part of the day and said: O Messenger of Allah, so-and-so and so-and-so have been overcome by hardship. He turned away from him, and he mentioned the rest of the hadith.
