مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
عُثْمَانُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ مَعَ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ
رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ : حَدَّثَنَا
سَعْدٌ أو عُبَيْدٌ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ الَّذِي يَشُكُّ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُمْ أُمِرُوا بِصِيَامٍ ، قَالَ : فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ بَعْضَ النَّهَارِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ فُلَانًا وَفُلَانَةَ قَدْ بَلَغَهُمَا الْجَهْدُ ، فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ يَزِيدَ ، وَابْنِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ . .
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, 'Uthman ibn Ghiyath narrated to us, he said: I was with Abu 'Uthman, he said: Then a man from the people said: Sa'd or 'Ubayd narrated to us—'Uthman ibn Ghiyath, who is uncertain—which is the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that they were commanded to fast.
