Hadith 23640

It is narrated from Hazrat Mahmood bin Labeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that Surah Takathur was revealed and the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited it to the people. When he reached "Thumma latus'alunna yawma'idhin 'anin-na'eem," the people asked, "O Messenger of Allah! About which blessings will we be questioned? We have only water and dates, our swords are on our necks, and the enemy is present before us, so about which blessings will we be questioned?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "This will certainly happen."
