Hadith 23639

It is narrated from Hazrat Mahmood bin Labeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of Uhud, the swords of the Muslims fell upon Hazrat Huzayfah’s (may Allah be pleased with him) father, Hazrat Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him). The Muslims could not recognize him and killed him. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wanted to pay his blood money, but Hazrat Huzayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) gave that blood money as charity to the Muslims themselves.
