حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَاصِمُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ أَخِي بَنِي عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ ، قَالَ : أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَصَلَّى بِنَا الْمَغْرِبَ فِي مَسْجِدِنَا فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ مِنْهَا ، قَالَ : " ارْكَعُوا هَاتَيْنِ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ " ، لِلسُّبْحَةِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Mahmood bin Labeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us and led us in the Maghrib prayer in our mosque. After concluding the prayer, regarding the two Sunnah units after Maghrib, he said: "Perform these two units in your homes."
