It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) perform Umrah on the occasion of «لَيْلَةَ الْحَصْبَةِ» only to refute the notion of the polytheists who used to say that when the back of the she-camel becomes sound, the footprints of the pilgrims have disappeared, and the month of Safar has ended, then it becomes permissible for those performing Umrah to do so.
