Hadith 23594

حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بنُ عَامِرٍ ، أَخْبرَنَا أَبو بكْرٍ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبي ظِبيَانَ ، قَالَ : غَزَا أَبو أَيُّوب مَعَ يَزِيدَ بنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ : إِذَا أَنَا مِتُّ فَأَدْخِلُونِي أَرْضَ الْعَدُوِّ فَادْفِنُونِي تَحْتَ أَقْدَامِكُمْ حَيْثُ تَلْقَوْنَ الْعَدُوَّ ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ مَاتَ لَا يُشْرِكُ باللَّهِ شَيْئًا ، دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ " .
Abu Zubyan says that Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) participated in the jihad against Rome. He became ill, and when the time of his death approached, he said: "When I die, convey my greetings to the people on my behalf and inform them that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Whoever dies in such a state that he does not associate anyone with Allah, Allah will admit him into Paradise.' And keep carrying me forward, and as far as possible, keep taking me further into the land of Rome."
