Hadith 23574

Ali bin Mudrik says that once I saw Hazrat Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) taking off his leather socks during ablution. People began to look at him with surprise, so he said, "It is certain that I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) wiping over his leather socks, but I prefer to wash my feet."
