ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2354

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي وَاقِدٌ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخَيَّاطُ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : أُهْدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عَلَيْهِ وسلم سَمْنٌ ، وَأَقِطٌ ، وَضَبٌّ ، فَأَكَلَ السَّمْنَ وَالْأَقِطَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لِلضَّبِّ : " إِنَّ هَذَا الشَّيْءَ مَا أَكَلْتُهُ قَطُّ ، فَمَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَهُ فَلْيَأْكُلْه " , قَالَ : فَأَكَلَ عَلَى خِوَانِهِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a person presented clarified butter, lizard, and cheese as a gift to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate some of the clarified butter and cheese, but left the lizard due to dislike, and said: "This is something I have never eaten, but whoever wishes to eat it may do so." Thus, others ate it from the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) dining mat.
