Hadith 23529

Once there was a difference of opinion between Hazrat Miswar and Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them). They had a doubt regarding the Muhrim who pours water over his head. Then they sent a man to Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) to ask: How did you see the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) washing his head? He replied: Like this, from front to back. The narrator demonstrated the manner in which it was done.
