Hadith 2349

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was on a journey. In the last part of the night, the Prophet (peace be upon him) stopped to camp and slept, and did not wake up until the sun had risen. The Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), and he gave the call to prayer (adhan). Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) led two rak‘ahs. Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to say: The concession that has been granted to us—if the whole world and whatever is in it were given to me in exchange for it, I would not be pleased.
