Hadith 23442

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبرَنَا شَرِيكُ بنُ عَبدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بنِ أَبي النَّجُودِ ، عَنْ زِرِّ بنِ حُبيْشٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ يَعْنِي لِحُذَيْفَةَ : يَا أَبا عَبدِ اللَّهِ ، تَسَحَّرْتَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قُلْتُ : أَكَانَ الرَّجُلُ يُبصِرُ مَوَاقِعَ نَبلِهِ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، هُوَ النَّهَارُ إِلَّا أَنَّ الشَّمْسَ لَمْ تَطْلُعْ " .
Zirr bin Hubaish says that once I asked Hazrat Hudhaifa bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him), "At what time did you eat sahur with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)?" He replied, "Yes!" I asked him, "At that time, could a person see the place where his arrow would fall?" He replied, "Yes! At that time it would be day, but the sun would not have risen yet."
