حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبرَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، عَنْ عَبدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بنِ عَابسٍ ، عَنْ أَبيهٍِ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ شَرَطَ لِأَخِيهِ شَرْطًا لَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَفِيَ لَهُ بهِ ، فَهُوَ كَالْمُدْلِي جَارَهُ إِلَى غَيْرِ مَنَعَةٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever makes a promise to his brother with no intention of fulfilling it, it is as if he hands over his neighbor to a person of no worth.
