حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَزِينُ بنُ حَبيب الْجُهَنِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبي الرُّقَادِ الْعَبسِيِّ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ : " إِنْ كَانَ الرَّجُلُ لَيَتَكَلَّمُ بالْكَلِمَةِ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَيَصِيرُ بهَا مُنَافِقًا ، وَإِنِّي لَأَسْمَعُهَا مِنْ أَحَدِكُمْ الْيَوْمَ فِي الْمَجْلِسِ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the blessed era of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), sometimes a person would utter a sentence and because of it would become a hypocrite, and now in a single gathering I hear dozens of such words daily.
