Hadith 23276

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَبدِ الْمَلِكِ بنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ مَوْلًى لِرِبعِيٍّ ، عَنْ رِبعِيٍّ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جُلُوسًا ، فَقَالَ : " إِنِّي لَا أَدْرِي مَا قَدْرُ بقَائِي فِيكُمْ ، فَاقْتَدُوا باللَّذَيْنِ مِنْ بعْدِي ، وَأَشَارَ إِلَى أَبي بكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرَ ، وَتَمَسَّكُوا بعَهْدِ عَمَّارٍ ، وَمَا حَدَّثَكُمْ ابنُ مَسْعُودٍ ، فَصَدِّقُوهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were sitting with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I do not know how long I will remain among you, so follow the two men who will be after me, and he pointed towards Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and hold firmly to the way of Ammar, and whatever Ibn Mas'ud tells you, affirm it.
