حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بنِ أَبي الشَّعْثَاءِ ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بنِ هِلَالٍ ، عَنْ ثَعْلَبةَ بنِ زَهْدَمٍ الْحَنْظَلِيِّ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ سَعِيدِ بنِ الْعَاصِ ، بطَبرِسْتَانَ ، فَقَالَ : أَيُّكُمْ صَلَّى مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ ؟ قَالَ : فَقَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ : أَنَا ، فَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ : فَوَصَفَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ ابنِ عَباسٍ ، وَزَيْدِ بنِ ثَابتٍ.
Tha’laba bin Zahdam narrates that once we were in Tabaristan with Hazrat Sa’eed bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with him). He asked the people, “Who among you has performed Salat al-Khawf with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)?” Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, “I have.” Then he described exactly the same method as is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) and Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him).
