Hadith 23267

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led the prayer of fear in a region of Banu Sulaym called "Dhi Qarad." The people formed two rows behind the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): one row stood facing the enemy, and the other row stood behind the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for prayer. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led this group in one rak'ah, then these people walked backwards to the place of those who were standing in front of the enemy, and those people came and stood behind the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in their place. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then led them in the second rak'ah.
