Hadith 23262

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بنُ إِبرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ ، عَنْ بلَالٍ ، عَنْ شُتَيْرِ بنِ شَكَلٍ ، وَعَنْ صِلَةَ بنِ زُفَرَ ، وَعَنْ سُلَيْكِ بنِ مِسْحَل الغَطَفانِي ، قَالُوا : خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا حُذَيْفَةُ وَنَحْنُ نَتَحَدَّثُ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّكُمْ لَتَكَلَّمُونَ كَلَامًا إِنْ كُنَّا لَنَعُدُّهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النِّفَاقَ " .
It is narrated from several Tabi'een that once Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) came to us while we were talking, and he said: "You people are saying things which, in the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), we used to consider as 'hypocrisy'."
