حَدِيثُ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَHadith of Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman from the Prophet (peace be upon him)

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بنِ نُذَيْرٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بعَضَلَةِ سَاقِي ، أَوْ سَاقِهِ ، قَالَ : " هَذَا مَوْضِعُ الْإِزَارِ ، فَإِنْ أَبيْتَ فَأَسْفَلُ ، فَإِنْ أَبيْتَ فَلَا حَقَّ لِلْإِزَارِ فِيمَا دُونَ الْكَعْبيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifah bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once held the calf of his leg and said: The place for tying the lower garment is up to here. If you do not accept this, then let it hang a little below this. If you do not accept even this, then below the ankles the lower garment has no right.
