ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2321

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ بْن أَحْمَد : وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْهُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : مَرَّ أَبُو جَهْلٍ ، فَقَالَ : أَلَمْ أَنْهَكَ , فَانْتَهَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو جَهْلٍ : لِمَ تَنْتَهِرُنِي يَا مُحَمَّدُ ؟ فَوَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا بِهَا رَجُلٌ أَكْثَرُ نَادِيًا مِنِّي , قَالَ : فَقَالَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام : فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُ سورة العلق آية 17 , قَالَ : فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : وَاللَّهِ لَوْ دَعَا نَادِيَهُ , لَأَخَذَتْهُ زَبَانِيَةُ الْعَذَابِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once Abu Jahl passed by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "Did I not forbid you?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) rebuked him. He said: "Muhammad! You are rebuking me even though you know that no one in this entire city has a greater assembly than mine?" Upon this, Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him) descended with this verse: «﴿فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُ﴾ [العلق : 17]» "Let him call his assembly," Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: If he had called his companions, the angels of punishment, "Zabaniyah," would have seized him.
