حَدَّثَنَا أَبو بكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، أَخْبرَنَا عَبدُ الْحَمِيدِ بنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بنِ شُعَيْب ، عَنِ ابنَةِ كُرْدُمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبيهَا ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فقَالَ : إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ أَنْ أَنْحَرَ ثَلَاثَةً مِنْ إِبلِي ، فقَالَ : " إِنْ كَانَ عَلَى جَمْعٍ مِنْ جَمْعِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ ، أَوْ عَلَى عِيدٍ مِنْ عِيدِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ ، أَوْ عَلَى وَثَنٍ ، فَلَا ، وَإِنْ كَانَ عَلَى غَيْرِ ذَلِكَ ، فَاقْضِ نَذْرَكَ " ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ عَلَى أُمِّ هَذِهِ الْجَارِيَةِ مَشْيًا ، أَفَتَمْشِي عَنْهَا ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Kuroom bin Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the vow he had made during the time of ignorance. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Did you make that vow for any idol or stone?" He replied, "No, rather I made it for Allah." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then fulfill the vow you made for Allah; slaughter an animal at the place called Buwana and fulfill your vow." He submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! The mother of this girl had vowed to walk on foot; can this girl walk on her behalf?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Yes!"
