Hadith 23183

حَدَّثَنَا أَبو عَبدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَبدُ اللَّهِ بنُ يَزِيدَ , حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبو زُمَيْلٍ سِمَاكٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ بنِي هِلَالٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَا تَحِلُّ الصَّدَقَةُ لِغَنِيٍّ ، وَلَا لِذِي مِرَّةٍ سَوِيٍّ " .
It is narrated from a companion of Banu Hilal (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "It is not lawful for a wealthy or healthy and strong person to take zakat money."
