Hadith 23182

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بنُ آدَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ أَبي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ بنِ مُضَرِّب ، عَنْ بعْضِ أَصْحَاب رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِأَصْحَابهِ : " إِنَّ مِنْكُمْ رِجَالًا لَا أُعْطِيهِمْ شَيْئًا ، أَكِلُهُمْ إِلَى إِيمَانِهِمْ ، مِنْهُمْ فُرَاتُ بنُ حَيَّانَ " ، قَالَ : مِنْ بنِي عِجْلٍ.
It is narrated from a companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to his companions (may Allah be pleased with them): "There are some among you to whom I do not give anything, rather I entrust them to their faith. Among them is Furat bin Hayyan; he belonged to Banu ‘Ajl."
