Musnad Ahmad
ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2316

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْهُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَخَذَ امْرَأَةً ، أَوْ سَبَاهَا ، فَنَازَعَتْهُ قَائِمَ سَيْفِهِ ، فَقَتَلَهَا ، فَمَرَّ عَلَيْهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأُخْبِرَ بِأَمْرِهَا , فَنَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ النِّسَاءِ وَالصِّبْيَانِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man captured a woman and took her as a prisoner. The woman resisted him by grabbing the hilt of his sword (trying to snatch his sword), so the man killed her. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by there and was informed of the whole matter. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the killing of women.
