Hadith 23152

Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that in the tribe of Thaqif there was a man named "Ma'ruf" whose one eye did not function; his real name was Zuhair bin Uthman. He says that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The walimah is rightful on the first day, feeding on the second day is a good deed, and feeding on the third day is for fame and show.
