Hadith 23146

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوب ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبي ، عَنْ ابنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بنُ عَبدِ اللَّهِ بنِ عُرْوَةَ بنِ الزُّبيْرِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ مِنْ أَصْحَاب رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نَصْنَعَ الْمَسَاجِدَ فِي دُورِنَا ، وَأَنْ نُصْلِحَ صَنْعَتَهَا وَنُطَهِّرَهَا " .
It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to command us to make mosques in our homes and to keep them clean and pure.
