Hadith 23143

حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بنُ عَامِرٍ ، أَخْبرَنَا أَبو إِسْرَائِيلَ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ أَبي سَلْمَانَ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بنِ أَرْقَمَ ، قَالَ : اسْتَشْهَدَ عَلِيٌّ النَّاسَ ، فَقَالَ : أَنْشُدُ اللَّهَ رَجُلًا سَمِعَ النَّبيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ مَنْ كُنْتُ مَوْلَاهُ ، فَعَلِيٌّ مَوْلَاهُ ، اللَّهُمَّ وَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُ ، وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ " ، قَالَ : فَقَامَ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ رَجُلًا فَشَهِدُوا.
Hazrat Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) says that once Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the people under oath, so sixteen companions (may Allah be pleased with them) stood up and testified that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever loves me, Ali is also his beloved."
