Hadith 23129

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبةُ ، عَنْ أَبي إِسْحَاقَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبا حُذَيْفَةَ يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَاب النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنِ النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " نَظَرْتُ إِلَى الْقَمَرِ صَبيحَةَ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ ، فَرَأَيْتُهُ كَأَنَّهُ فِلْقُ جَفْنَةٍ " ، وقَالَ أَبو إِسْحَاقَ : إِنَّمَا يَكُونُ الْقَمَرُ كَذَاكَ صَبيحَةَ لَيْلَة َثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ.
It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the morning of Laylat al-Qadr, I looked at the moon and it was like half a bowl. Abu Ishaq says that the moon appears in this shape on the 23rd night.
