Hadith 23128

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبةُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بنِ يَسَافٍ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بنِ مُخَيْمِرَةَ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَاب النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنِ النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ قَتَلَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ لَمْ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ لَمْ يَجِدْ رِيحَ الْجَنَّةِ ، مَنْصُورٌ الشَّاكُّ إِنَّ رِيحَهَا تُوجَدُ مِنْ قَدْرِ سَبعِينَ عَامًا " .
It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever kills a dhimmi (a non-Muslim under Muslim protection) will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise, even though its fragrance can be perceived from a distance of seventy years.
