Hadith 23119

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ حَجَّاجَ بنَ حَجَّاجٍ الْأَسْلَمِيَّ وَكَانَ إِمَامَهُمْ يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ أَبيهِ ، وَكَانَ يَحُجُّ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَاب النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ : أُرَاهُ عَبدَ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " إِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ ، فَإِذَا اشْتَدَّ الْحَرُّ ، فَأَبرِدُوا عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ " .
It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The intensity of heat is due to the effect of the heat of Hell, therefore when the heat is severe, perform the prayer after it has cooled down.
