حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبةُ ، عَنْ زَيْدٍ أَبي الْحَوَارِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبي الصِّدِّيقِ ، عَنْ أَصْحَاب النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنِ النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " يَدْخُلُ فُقَرَاءُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الْجَنَّةَ قَبلَ أَغْنِيَائِهِمْ بأَرْبعِ مِائَةِ عَامٍ " ، قَالَ : فَقُلْتُ : إِنَّ الْحَسَنَ يَذْكُرُ أَرْبعِينَ عَامًا ، فَقَالَ : عَنْ أَصْحَاب النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنِ النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَرْبعُ مِائَةِ عَامٍ ، قَالَ : " حَتَّى يَقُولَ المؤمن الْغَنِيُّ : يَا لَيْتَنِي كُنْتُ عَيْلًا " ، قَالَ : قُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، سَمِّهِمْ لَنَا بأَسْمَائِهِمْ ، قَالَ : " هُمْ الَّذِينَ إِذَا كَانَ مَكْرُوهٌ ، بعِثُوا لَهُ ، وَإِذَا كَانَ مَغْنَمٌ بعِثَ إِلَيْهِ سِوَاهُمْ ، وَهُمْ الَّذِينَ يُحْجَبونَ عَنِ الْأَبوَاب " .
It is narrated from multiple Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The poor believers will enter Paradise four hundred years before the wealthy. So much so that the wealthy Muslims will say, "If only I had remained destitute in the world!" We said, "O Messenger of Allah! Please tell us their names." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: These are the people who, when distressing circumstances arise, are sent forth; if spoils of war come, others are sent and they are left behind; and these are the people who are kept away from their own doors.
