Hadith 23099

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبرَنَا حَمَّادُ بنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بنِ أَبي النَّجُودِ ، عَنْ جُرَيٍّ ، قَالَ : الْتَقَى رَجُلَانِ مِنْ بنِي سُلَيْمٍ مِنْ أَصْحَاب النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِصَاحِبهِ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " سُبحَانَ اللَّهِ نِصْفُ الْمِيزَانِ ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ يَمْلَؤُهُ ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبرُ يَمْلَأُ مَا بيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ ، وَالصَّوْمُ نِصْفُ الصَّبرِ ، وَالْوُضُوءُ نِصْفُ الْإِيمَانِ " .
It is narrated from a companion of Banu Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Subhan Allah" is equal to half the scale of deeds, "Alhamdulillah" fills the scale of deeds, the phrase "Allahu Akbar" fills all the space between the earth and the sky, cleanliness is half of faith, and fasting is half of patience.
