Hadith 23066

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بنُ عُبيْدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بنِ أَبي حَبيب ، عَنْ مَرْثَدِ بنِ عَبدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَاب النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْقَاتِلِ وَالْآمِرِ ، قَالَ : " قُسِّمَتْ النَّارُ سَبعِينَ جُزْءًا ، فَلِلْآمِرِ تِسْعٌ وَسِتُّونَ ، وَلِلْقَاتِلِ جُزْءٌ وَحَسْبهُ " .
It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that a person asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the ruling concerning the killer and the one who gives the order to kill. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The fire of Hell has been divided into seventy parts; sixty-nine parts are for the one who gives the order to kill, and one part is for the killer, and even that is sufficient for him.
